Driving up to my niece's place just west of Bonduel, Wisconsin in Schawano County, one passes this pastoral yet emotional farm setting with its shed's sagging roof. The barn quilt seems to reflect a theme so true to Wisconsin . . . "Stars over Wisconsin".
I have always loved drawing, painting and photography; although, drawing and painting were my earliest love as a kid. In high school I took one art class my senior year under Miss Barbara Olson. She suggested that I consider taking an art major in college. My father had other ideas! As a result, this love was put aside until I was nearing retirement. I began taking a few drawing, colored pencil and water color classes at Chicago's Morton Arboretum. I am finally getting a chance to do what I really love to do! Flowers and gardens have always been a love of mine even as a kid as I pulled weeds in my mother's Wisconsin flower garden.
