About Barbara Ebeling
I am new to drawing and painting although it was something I loved as a kid. In high school I took one art class my senior year under Miss Barbara Olson. She suggested that I consider taking an art major in college. My father had other ideas! As a result, this love was put aside until I was nearing retirement. I began taking a few drawing, colored pencil and water color classes at Chicago's Morton Arboretum. I am finally getting a chance to do what I really love to do! Flowers and gardens have always been a love of mine even as a kid as I pulled weeds in my mother's Wisconsin flower garden. Today, I try to fill our townhouse entryway, lake shore line and our house with flowers. When my husband and I travel, it is always the gardens that we end up visiting first. Photography is a second love of mine and many of these become the subjects of my paintings. Do enjoy my "Barbara's Garden" as you peruse my creations.
