A few years ago I had a chance to spend some time in Iceland. The icy blue fiord captured my heart. On this particular day the storm clouds were rolling in over the mountain tops while the setting sun set the cloud tops aglow. The red weather worn boat house quietly stood with its reflection in the water. It was beautiful.
I have always loved drawing, painting and photography; although, drawing and painting were my earliest love as a kid. In high school I took one art class my senior year under Miss Barbara Olson. She suggested that I consider taking an art major in college. My father had other ideas! As a result, this love was put aside until I was nearing retirement. I began taking a few drawing, colored pencil and water color classes at Chicago's Morton Arboretum. I am finally getting a chance to do what I really love to do! Flowers and gardens have always been a love of mine even as a kid as I pulled weeds in my mother's Wisconsin flower garden.
