Thanks so very much. I am still doing some things to it. The main thing is that I need to make the sail boat smaller to really give a true perspective of the height of those mountains. How is all going with your work? Are you back in Florida or still in New York? Miss ya . . . Barbara

Artist's Description

A year ago I was on the Lysefiord near Stavanger, Norway. The incoming fog left an incredible image in my mind with the rolling clouds above the mountains. There in the middle of the awesome scene was one lonely sailboat as if seeking a safe harbor from the incoming fog and wind. The mountain sides were covered with essentially rock and moss rising over 1800' above the water. Later I found the the water's depth here is about 1500' deep! Just incredible!

I began taking a few drawing, colored pencil and water color classes at Chicago's Morton Arboretum. I am finally getting a chance to do what I really love to do! Flowers and gardens have always been a love of mine even as a kid as I pulled weeds in my mother's Wisconsin flower garden. Today, I try to fill our townhouse entryway, lake shoreline and our house with flowers. When my husband and I...
