Description
As we traveled up the Columbia River between Washington and Oregon we saw numerous water sprays into the river. We learned that these sprays were used in places where fingerling salmon were being added to the river. The sprays provided protection for the fingerlings from birds such as the osprey and seagulls which feed on the fingerlings.
